Cookie Policy

This policy explains the cookies and similar storage that MUZE LLC, doing business as Muse, uses on https://musecoaching.dev. It adds to our Privacy Notice.
In short: we only use what the site needs to work and to understand how people move through it. We don't use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and we don't sell data.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. Local storage is a similar store that stays on your device and isn't sent to us with each request.
2. What we use
- muse_session (essential cookie, HttpOnly, 60 days or until you sign out): keeps you signed in.
- muse_signed_in (essential cookie, 60 days): lets the site header show the right buttons when you're signed in. Holds no personal data.
- muse_goals (functional cookie, 30 days): remembers your coach-match quiz answers so they carry into your new account.
- muse_pb (functional cookie, 1 year): remembers that you dismissed a profile reminder.
- muse: keys in local storage (until you clear them): small choices on this device, such as quiz answers, recent emoji, drafts and celebrations you've seen.
- Anonymous analytics id in local storage (until you clear it): counts steps in our own sign-up, quiz and booking funnels without identifying you. It stays with Muse; no third party receives it.
3. Services that set their own
- Cloudflare Turnstile checks that sign-up, sign-in and contact forms are used by people, not bots. It may store data needed for that check. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
- Stripe handles card payments and may set cookies on checkout pages to prevent fraud. See Stripe's privacy policy.
- Google and Apple set their own cookies on their pages if you choose to sign in with them.
4. Your choices
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Essential cookies are needed to sign in; without them, parts of Muse won't work. Clearing local storage resets the small choices above.
We'll update this policy when what we use changes, and change the date above.
