Hala brings a foundation of family, athletics, and crisis support to her work, along with a warm, direct communication style. Rooted in her Polynesian background, she values connection, community, and showing up for the people who depend on her.

A mother of four—one son and three daughters, all now young adults who have pursued college—Hala understands the commitment, patience, and adaptability required to guide a family. Her son played Division I high school basketball and traveled throughout the country during his high school years before continuing into college basketball. Supporting his journey gave her firsthand experience navigating competitive athletics, recruiting, and balancing sports with education.

Previously married to a Marine who served three tours across Iraq, Afghanistan, and Qatar, Hala carried much of the daily parenting responsibility during his deployments. Divorced since 2012, she brings lived experience with marriage, independent parenting, and rebuilding life after major transitions.

Her athletic background includes playing volleyball in high school, college, and later in life, as well as coaching. These experiences strengthened her appreciation for teamwork, discipline, accountability, and encouragement.

Her professional background includes mental health crisis support and assisting first responders. This work has strengthened her ability to listen with empathy, remain grounded under pressure, and communicate clearly during difficult situations.

Across her personal and professional life, Hala brings compassion, practical perspective, and a commitment to helping others move forward. She believes meaningful growth begins with honest communication, self-awareness, and consistent effort.
